Organic French Green Lentils, 1000 g

Organic French green lentils are a high-quality legume known for their smaller size, firm texture and slightly nutty flavour. This French-type lentil, often referred to as Puy lentils, holds its shape particularly well during cooking and does not easily become mushy, making it especially popular in modern cuisine.

Thanks to their firm texture, they are ideal for cold and warm salads, side dishes and a variety of vegetable dishes. They are also excellent in stews and soups or as a base for nutritious bowls. Their distinctive quality is that they remain slightly firm after cooking, giving dishes a pleasant texture.

French green lentils generally do not need to be soaked. Simply rinse them under running water before cooking, then cook for approximately 20–25 minutes, until tender but still firm.

They pair particularly well with herbs such as thyme, bay leaf and parsley, as well as vegetables, olive oil and vinegar. Suitable for vegetarian and vegan dishes, they are an excellent source of plant-based protein.
